These athletes train hard, often and take this sport very seriously. Some timid youths have gained so much confidence through their training.

Coach Vincent interviews and vets each athlete to make sure they have the right attitude and are learning this olympic sport for the right reasons. They train for free and are only obligated to be part of our Discovery Groups and Youth Church.

Please feel free to come and speak with Coach Vincent so you can start your training!

Aiming high…

Our ICY athletes exemplify dedication and discipline, consistently showcasing their skills in competitive environments. A memorable instance occurred when we sent three of our talented young athletes to the coast at Malindi for the National Olympic Committee Games. They faced formidable opponents from the Kenya Defense Force and Police, all of whom held black belts in Taekwondo.

Upon entering the ring, our athletes encountered mockery from their larger opponents, who dismissed them with comments like, “you’ve sent children to compete against us!” Nevertheless, our athletes remained undeterred and focused on their performance. Their determination and hard work paid off as they competed fiercely and ultimately brought home gold medals, demonstrating that talent and grit can overcome even the most intimidating challenges.

Aiming for the 2026 Olympic games in Dakar.
